Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions?
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept insurance. Current in-network insurances include Premera, United, and Kaiser. A more comprehensive list of accepted insurances will be available soon.
Do you offer telehealth or in-person?
Both telehealth and in-person options are available. I see patients in-person at the Elliott Bay Mindful Therapy Group offices in Seattle, WA. For patients who are not local or who prefer telehealth, I am more than happy to schedule telehealth appointments.
Do you provide therapy?
I provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapeutic interventions as part of psychiatric care. For patients seeking ongoing, dedicated psychotherapy, I can help coordinate care with a therapist.
How do I schedule my first appointment?
Cedar Sound Psychiatry partners with Mindful Therapy Group for scheduling and administrative support. To request an appointment, please contact Mindful Therapy Group at 425-640-7009 or use the Schedule an Appointment button on the Get Started page.
What can I expect during my first appointment?
Your initial appointment will include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, a discussion of your mental health history, current concerns, and treatment goals. Together, we’ll explore treatment options and develop an individualized plan that fits your needs. Please note, I most likely will not prescribe new medications on the first visit.
Do you prescribe psychiatric medications?
Yes. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide psychiatric medication management when clinically appropriate. Medication recommendations are individualized and made collaboratively, taking into account your symptoms, preferences, and treatment goals.
